
The Dean of Law announced the recipient of the Murdoch University Most Outstanding Mock Trial Student Scholarship on Thursday, 17 September 2009 during a Reception held in the Supreme Court of Western Australia. The winner, Amy Wakefield, competed in a Persuasive Argument Competition held on 29 August, where nominated candidates were assessed on their analytical, research and advocacy skills. Amy is guaranteed a place at Murdoch University School of Law in 2010. She will join a team of four dedicated Murdoch Law School students in 2010 who will be competing in the prestigious Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Competition which takes place in Vienna in the week before Easter 2011. As a member of the team, Amy will receive extensive training in international commercial trade law and arbitration law in preparation for her participation in the Vienna Moot.
