The Dean of Law announced the recipient of this scholarship on Thursday, 18 September 2008 during a Reception held in the Supreme Court of Western Australia. The winner, Daniel Harrop, competed in a Persuasive Argument Competition held on 30 August, where nominated candidates were assessed on their analytical, research and advocacy skills. Daniel is guaranteed a place at Murdoch University School of Law in 2009. He will join a team of four dedicated Murdoch Law School students who will be competing in the prestigious Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Competition which takes place in Vienna in April 2009. As a member of the team, Daniel will receive extensive training in international trade law and arbitration law in preparation for his participation in the Vienna Moot. |
