Dr Kate Lewins Wins Dean's Research Prize
The School of Law held it Annual Research Day on Friday, 29 May 2009. The topics discussed were wide-ranging, topical and intellectually stimulating. They included presentations on Climate Change Law, Maritime Law, Australian Financial Services Law, the Philosophical Foundations of the Nazi Legal System, and Terrorism and the Rule of Law.
The Research Day was followed by a Reception at which the Dean of Law, Professor Gabriël Moens, announced the winner of the Dean’s Research Prize 2009. The Prize was awarded to Dr Kate Lewins. Kate recently received her Doctor in Philosophy degree from Murdoch University for work on The Trade Practices Act and Maritime Law in Australia.
