Senior Mooting Competition Final at the Supreme Court

An exciting and competitive MSLS Senior Mooting Final was conducted in the Supreme Court of Western Australia on 13th May, 2008.

The finalists in the competition were Lisa Kastropil, Emma Taylor, Greg Mackay and Jeff Geoghegan. They mooted before a distinguished Bench composed of the Honourable Wayne Martin, the Chief Justice of Western Australia, Paul Evans from Freehills Lawyers and Dr Vernon Nase from Murdoch University. The problem for the final was a complex contractual scenario.

Congratulations go to all four finalists, especially the winner of the competition, Greg Mackay. The runner-up this year was Emma Taylor. Greg Mackay is a former member of Murdoch’s Moot Court Bench. Greg has also represented the University as a member of the Murdoch team competing in the 2007 Maritime Law Arbitration Mooting competition, held at Victoria University in Melbourne and conducted by Murdoch University.
