Gai Walker

Gai has been in the position of Administrator at SCALES since it opened in April 1997 and is responsible for the coordination of the office. Her main responsibility is to keep the office running smoothly. This includes managing the network of 20 computers, preparing funding applications, reporting to funders; team leader for the Admin team, policy and procedure as well as assisting with students in relation to administrative operations of SCALES.

Gai is active on a number of committees and networks and currently sits on the Executive Committee of the Community Legal Centre Association of WA (CLCAWA) and is joint WA state representative to the National Association of Community Legal Centres (NACLC). She also participates on the CLCAWA Sector Development consultative committee; NACLC Rural Regional and Remote (RRR) national network and the Clinical Legal Education national network as well as the Domestic Violence Legal Workers Network (DVLWN) and the South Metro Integrated Family Abuse Service (SMIFAS) development committee and is a member of the Rockingham Lotteries House Management Committee.

In her spare time, Gai is a mad keen patchworker and fabric collector and doting Nanna to her first grandchild.
