1. Mission

The mission of the Institute is to provide a centre of excellence in domestic and international dispute management, research and training together with the provision of arbitration, mediation and negotiation services to the legal and business communities of Western Australia.

2. Objectives

The objectives of the Institute are the:

• provision of post graduate education in domestic and international dispute management
• fostering and facilitation of research and publication in the area of dispute management
• training of commercial arbitrators, mediators, negotiators, conciliators and adjudicators
• provision of advice on arbitration and mediation rules, agreements and practice
• administration of commercial arbitrations, mediations, conciliations and adjudications
• nominations of arbitrators, mediators and adjudicators
• provision of commercial arbitration, mediation and conciliation services
