Graduations at Murdoch Law School
Tuesday, 17 March 2009 was a great day in the life of Murdoch Law School. The Honourable Michael Kirby AC CMG, who recently retired from the High Court of Australia, received a Honorary Doctor of Laws degree. His Honour also delivered a stimulating address in which he praised the work undertaken in the Law School. Kate Lewins received a Doctor of Philosophy degree for her thesis entitled Trade Practice Act (Cth) 1974 and its Impact on Maritime Law in Australia. Kate was supervised by Dr Vernon Nase and Associate professor John Mugambwa.

A Doctor of Philosophy degree was also conferred on Jeremy Mark Malcolm who wrote a thesis on Multi-Stakeholder Public Policy Governance and its Application to the Internet Governance Forum. Jeremy’s thesis was supervised by Ms Ingrid Richardson, Dr Roger Clarke and Dr Vernon Nase. Naturally, many pictures were taken on the night; a few are posted to this website.
