Katrin Giesen

Lecturer

Katrin Giesen joined the School of Law in 2006. She has completed her German Law Degree in 1996. Since then, she has been admitted to practice at the Court of Appeal in Berlin. In 2005, she graduated with a LL.B from Murdoch University. From her arrival in Australia in 2003 to the
end of 2005 she has been employed as a Legal Researcher with Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Lawyers, in Perth.

Katrin will teach in the area of Criminal Justice and Comparative Law. Further, she will be coaching the Mooting Team for the annual Jessup Mooting Competition. She is currently enrolled in postgraduate studies in the area of Criminal Justice.

Katrin has previously published in the area of Construction Law in the influential German legal journal Neue Zeitschrift fuer Baurecht und Vergaberecht.
